Calculate the Pot Odds in Texas Holdem

Key Skills in Poker

One of the key skills in poker - and one that separate the winning players from the losers - is the knowledge of how to account for poker odds and pot odds while playing. If you always know your poker odds and pot odds and learn how to let it work for you instead of against you, both your understanding of the game and your win rate should improve dramatically.

How to Calculate Pot Odds

As soon as you know the odds of making a hand, you have to apply the current pot odds in order to make the right decision. For instance, if you have a flush draw with four cards to a flush on the flop in Texas holdem, there are nine cards in the deck that improve your hand. The odds against making a flush on the turn are about 4.22:1 (the ratio between the outs and the remainder of the cards left in the deck). In order to call with the flush draw you would theoretically need a bet size to pot size ratio (pot odds), which is better than 4.22:1.

Instant Odds and Pot Odds

Of course, counting odds, outs and pot odds while you play is almost impossible, given the multitude of different draws and made hands you experience during a session. This is why a professional odds calculator like Calculatem Pro™ will give you a tremendous advantage at the poker table. Most players at low- to medium levels have no knowledge about odds or pot odds, and even advanced players have a hard time making a reasonably correct estimate of their current odds during a hand.

Calculatem Pro™ gives you the exact odds as well as pot odds instantly - giving you just the information you need to make the right move in any poker situation.

What our Customers Say:

"Using a poker odds calculator that doesn't have pot odds is like missing the last page in a how-to book. You've got the basics, but what you really need to play good poker - pot odds - completes the puzzle. CalculatemPro™ simply changes everything."
– Dennis Johnson, Waverly, Massachusetts

"Calculatem Pro™ has saved me time and time again from throwing away cards I ended up taking a big pot with. Watching my cards play out even after I folded really let it sink in how much I was wasting not playing the pot odds. Not any more..."
